Priorities

Massachusetts has become unaffordable.
I'm running to change that.

Rising costs across education, healthcare, and daily essentials have forced families to reevaluate their household budgets. As municipal budgets feel the effect of federal and state cuts, we need a full-time state representative to deliver state aid to the six towns in the 9th Norfolk District.

I believe the role of any elected official is to listen. As my priorities continue to be updated, please reach out at hello@electmelville.com with any thoughts or suggestions -- or to schedule a time to meet!

Affordability

Rising costs across education, healthcare, and daily essentials have forced families to reevaluate their household budgets. I'm running to lower costs and support working families. We need a full-time state representative to deliver state aid to the six towns in the 9th Norfolk District.

Government Accountability and Transparency

As a lifelong journalist, I believe that public officials and their records must be open to the public. As your state representative, I'll support the following measures to ensure that public information belongs to the public.

Education

I believe everyone deserves an affordable public education. As the former Board President of the Medfield Afterschool Program (MAP), and as the father of a local public school second grade teacher, I will fight for high quality classroom instruction, ambitious curricula, and multiple options available to students after graduation.

Healthcare

When working families delay doctor's visits because of cost, when seniors ration medicine to pay rent, when uninsured workers go to an emergency room years late to fix a problem, that's more than a healthcare failure. That's the denial of the chance to live a full and dignified life.

Housing

The minimum household income to afford a moderately priced home in Greater Boston has surpassed $220,000, more than double what the median household earns. Young families are leaving the state. Working people are priced out of towns they have helped build. These are problems we can fix.

Delivering Results for Our Community

Our community has local priorities that demand state action. As a full-time state representative, I'll deliver real results.

Supporting Workers and Organized Labor

I have always been, and will continue to be, a strong ally of the labor movement. In my view, it is not enough to simply express support, one must actively stand in solidarity with organized labor.

Transportation

Working families deserve to travel around the Commonwealth safely and affordably.
